I created Little Miracles, PLLC to help make this big life transition easier for you. Whether you want general guidance on motor milestones, or your little one has a specific need like torticollis, I’m here to help!

Our Pediatric Physical Therapy Services

I offer physical therapy services with a family-centered approach. I want to get to know your baby, but I also want to involve everyone invested in your baby’s care! Having visits in your home will allow me to understand your needs, preferences, and vision for therapy. I always take my time to allow for questions and for parents to practice techniques for improved follow-through between sessions.

Hi, I’m Abby, a pediatric physical therapist living in Norfolk, Massachusetts with my husband and our crazy puppy, Pepper! I began my journey of becoming a physical therapist at UMass Lowell, where I spent 7 years studying Exercise Physiology and earning my Doctorate of Physical Therapy degree. Following my final clinical rotation at an outpatient pediatric clinic in Maine, I knew for certain that I wanted to spend my days working with children and their families!

In the years following graduation, I did exactly that, working in early intervention with children ages 0-3. I have found so much joy in working with littles, and have found the connection with families so special.

When I am not working, you can find me running, hiking, doing triathlons, and of course, spending quality time with family and friends!

My family and I are so grateful for Abby and her dedication. Abby worked with our son for 2 years, from when he was just over a year old, up until he turned 3. We could not have asked for a more caring and thorough therapist. Abby's gentle yet encouraging approach helped our son gain the confidence and strength he needed to attain important milestones that felt beyond reach before she began working with us. Abby did a great job not only supporting our son in reaching his goals, but also helped myself and my husband feel supported throughout her time working with our family. We were given the resources and encouragement that we needed in order to help our son succeed. He enjoyed his sessions so much that he continually asks when she’ll come back to play! We will always be grateful for the work that Abby put in with our family.

What to expect at your first appointment

All initial evaluations and follow-up visits will take place in the comfort of your home. Please have a cleared floor space available for your baby (i.e. a blanket, playmat, towel, etc.), as much of the evaluation will take place on the floor. We will discuss your baby’s medical history followed by an assessment, looking at areas such as muscle tone, strength, range of motion, and current gross motor skills expected for your baby’s age. Please feel free to ask questions and demonstrate your baby’s abilities, as you know your baby best! Questions? Visit our FAQ

  • I will ask you many questions about your pregnancy, birth, and baby’s motor abilities. This is a great time to express your concerns and needs for therapy.

  • I will take a look at your baby’s overall alignment, muscle tone, strength, and joint range of motion among other areas. If there are specific concerns such as head shape or torticollis, I will assess these aspects as well. This is a time to discover if your baby will benefit from skilled physical therapy. All assessment techniques should be comfortable for your baby.

  • Following the assessment, we will discuss any findings and whether your baby requires ongoing skilled physical therapy. We will determine a frequency of visits that works best for your family’s schedule and considers your baby’s needs.

  • We will schedule follow-up visits in the electronic medical record system, Jane. I will help orient you to the Jane App system and show you where to find your upcoming appointments in the portal. I will answer any remaining questions you have and we will begin our therapy journey together!

Frequently Asked Questions

  • If you are interested in Little Miracles, you can schedule a free 15 minute phone or video consultation through the link in my Contact page. If we decide Little Miracles is the best fit for you, I will book your initial evaluation and we will determine your plan of care from there.

  • Absolutely! I often hear from families who are debating whether additional services are warranted for their child. I always encourage reaching out rather than using the “wait and see” approach. Sometimes, there are underlying issues we can work to resolve sooner than later. Most research shows that earlier intervention leads to better long-term outcomes for babies and their families.

  • The length of treatment varies from child to child. There are some babies who need a small “boost” and then quickly progress to age appropriate motor skills, no longer requiring skilled therapy. Others may require longer term care, especially if there is an underlying diagnosis. We will discuss prognosis and plan of care at our evaluation and at all follow-up visits.

  • Visits will take place in the comfort of your own home. This allows me to see your baby’s natural environment and use equipment and toys you already have available to improve follow-through between sessions. I will also bring some of my own tools and toys as needed.

  • Little Miracles services the following towns: Norfolk, Wrentham, Plainville, Franklin, Medway, Millis, Holliston, Sharon, Foxborough, Medfield, Walpole. If your town is not listed, you may still reach out, as I may be able to travel to your home for an additional $50/visit fee.

  • All of my services require private cash-based pay. I do create superbills, however, that you can submit to your insurance company for reimbursement.

  • At least one parent or guardian must be present for all sessions. I encourage parents to participate as much as possible. I want you to feel empowered and confident in your infant’s care!

  • Yes, siblings can be present for visits as needed. I often find babies are extra motivated to participate when older children join in on the fun!

  • Cancellations must be communicated via phone to Little Miracles at least 24 hours prior to your visit. There is a $50 cancellation fee for visits canceled after this 24-hour mark. No-shows are charged for the full amount of the visit, as this limits my ability to offer the visit to families on the wait-list. These policies are in place to allow me to best serve my families and provide services in a timely manner. To avoid cancellations and no-shows, the Jane App portal allows families to enable appointment reminders.
